The Curvy Goddess Chronicles – Days 11 Through 15 of 100 Day Plus Size Workout Fitness Challenge

Just got done with my plus size workout training with Coach Mahabir. When I refer to my plus size workout I’m not talking about strolling on the treadmill while my trainer watches me. I train like an athlete unlike how most people would think a plus size woman can move.

In a few months I’m going to blow away these 20 year old skinny minnies out of the water.

I have trained with trainers before but this experience is so different this time around.

Why is that? I’m in a very different place. I have known Gary for over a decade and he knows me pretty well. He knows what motivates me. He knows what makes me crazy. He knows when I’m in a powerful place so what makes me crazy usually will motivate me.

Why is it that I’m so excited about training? Why is it that the pain is almost enjoyable? Why is it that I’m completely focused?

He attempted to answer the questions that I posed to him. “Because you made the decision to focus on yourself. It isn’t contingent on any external reason this time. Not because of any man. Or because it’s almost summertime and you have to be a certain size. Or because you feel like you have to look a certain way for your fitness business. You’re doing it for yourself.”

Wow! He’s right. Most of the times I set these lofty physical goals because of a ‘I have to because…’ reason

This time it was because I wanted to get into the whole process of loving my plus size workouts and exercise and mastering my body again. The reason was all about me and for me.

I’m so fortunate to have wise friends and colleagues around me.

I’m not even struggling with food. Really. The week before training, Coach told me to start eating whole foods and cut the crap out of my diet.

And stubborn me, I listened to him. Can you believe it?

This week I’m snacking every 3-4 hours and I have one big meal. A big meal now for me is about 1/3 of what I use to shovel down my mouth.

The following is the rundown of my days for the continuation of the 100 Day Plus Size Workout Fitness Challenge.

Days 11 and 12 Plus Size Workout Fitness Activity
– NADA…ZILCH…Although I didn’t do anything for two days I didn’t beat myself up and didn’t throw in the towel.

Day 13 Plus Size Workout Fitness Activity
– 1st Workout with Coach Gary Mahabir. We worked on basic flexibility, core, and strength exercises. Seems easy. Well it wasn’t. I was sweating and huffing and puffing like crazy. Soreness set in a couple of hours after the workout.

Day 14 Plus Size Workout Fitness Activity
– 30 min. Stairmaster
– 30 min. Stationary Bike

Day 15 Plus Size Workout Fitness Activity
– 2nd Workout with Coach. This workout was so much more difficult than the first. I was even a little nauseous but I sucked it up Curvy Goddess Warrior style.

We worked on shoulder mobility, dynamic stretching, strength, and core all packed into one hour. My heart was pumping all throughout.

  1. Certainly. In addition, i reckon that physical exercise can be both fun yet still manage to deliver final results. It always usually takes several deliver the results, however in the conclusion you might be ok with on your own.
