  1. The least controversial weight loss method (eat less and exercise) doesn’t sell well on best-seller lists. But not to be flippant, the mechanism of weight loss and gain is imperfectly understood and there is definitely not a ‘magic bullet’ method that works for everyone.

My son experimented on zero carbo diet for almost 1 week, I was the one who prepared his meal, we were just observing if he will really loose weight and yes its true, he looses 3 inches on his waist line and so with his weight which drop dramatically. After 1 week he again eat rice with vegetable I have prepared for him and slowly his weight goes back to when he did not have his zero carb diet.

  4. Hi Diane! I love your site and you! I just want to say that I’ve been low carb for 5 years, I walk about an hour a day and I’ve kept 30 pounds off since 2008. And I’ve done that by eating oatmeal (the only source of carb I eat). Oatmeal is a slow release carb that’s prescribed even for diabetics. Not the instant flavored kind nor the steel oats. Just your run-of-the-mill oats. Half a cup is barely 150 calores and gives you a vitamin boost and leaves you satisfied. I even use oatmeal as a snack, the same half cup of raw oats.
