Many of you reading this article want to lose weight. Although you want to feel healthy and energetic you may seem to not know where to start. Weight loss transformations are very popular among not only celebrities but also we “common folk”. So what triggers us to take action? Sometimes I think celebrities have it easier because their motivation comes from making millions from a weight loss company to endorse their program. Other celebrities are getting in-shape for a plum movie assignment that will make them millions.

One prime example of this is Jessica Simpson.

Jessica Simpson has lost 40 pounds since giving birth to daughter Maxwell Drew Johnson in May, and on Monday (Sept. 10), she debuted her post-pregnancy figure on Katie Couric’s new talk show.

“During pregnancy, I didn’t really think about it,” she tells Couric of gaining the pregnancy pounds. “I thought my doctors were telling me that it was just a lot of water and whenever my water broke my whole entire stomach would go down but that did not happen. All the weight did not come out with the baby!”

Weight loss is more difficult that it is even if the monetary reward is millions of dollars. Word on the street is that she didn’t attain the weight loss goal so that means no moolah from Weight Watchers.

The following woman really made an AMAZING weight loss transformation! And she didn’t have the opportunity to win millions. I wonder what triggered her to lose the weight.

I think this is one of my favorite stories about weight loss transformation.

Janette Colantonio of Summerville, South Carolina says that a traffic ticket she received kick started her journey to lose over 200 pounds. A year and a half ago trooper Mark Amos cited her for failing to wear her seatbelt. At 408 pounds, Colantonio couldn’t get the belt across her frame and admitted that she had not buckled up for years.

Go Janette! She could have easily reacted differently. She could have played the victim and sulked from the experience. She could have been enraged also and protested that the policeman was discriminating against her. Instead this was a wake-up call for her and she lost over 200 pounds! I respect and admire her for taking responsibility and turned this “negative” experience around. She saved her own life while the policeman was the messenger. She definitely received it!

  1. Yes you are right…. celebs have more motivation to loose weight as compare than other commom people….after loosing weight ,they still used to workout to loose the weight but the commom people dont do like that….

  2. Would very much like to join! Need help, motivation! Help! Need to loose 30+ lbs ASAP can’t afford nor do i want to buy newer & bigger clothes! love, love the size 8- 10 sz clothes i currently have! i am also a vegan! Guess xtra wt from all those stupid carbs & not enough protein! dah! :(!

  3. Thanks for sharing Janette’s story. The first step to transforming our lives is to take responsibility for ourselves but this is much easier said than done. Too often we take the easy way out and blame others. Losing 200 pounds is an amazing achievement.

  4. Common people are not that interested as celebrities in losing their weight. Though they try losing their weight and succeed they don’t maintain it.

  5. I agree that it is much easier to lose weight when you have incentive like making money. There are several companies in the network marketing industry that really give a lot of incentive to lose weight and get healthy with their products. My greatest transformation occured after joining one.

  6. my friends are always looking for diet that can lose their weight when come to post-pregnancy too 🙂
    I think they wouldn’t like their appearence that got fat. I also suggest them to not having diet that contain too extreme in calories 🙂

  7. I fully support Jessica Simpson. Gaining weight during pregnancy in totally normal, and let her decide how and when to loss that extra fat. We are totally being driven to wrong conclusions after seeing those Victories Secrete models losing pregnancy weight in 1-2 months. But most important thing is everyone is different.
